Be an example and set a pattern for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in [moral] purity.

— 1 Timothy 4:12 (AMP)

I firmly feel that people tend to believe our actions more than our words. We must so recognize that it is our duty to lead by example, according to Scripture. To effectively serve as a witness for others around us, we must model our lives after our beliefs.

Instead of merely telling people what to do, provide an example for them to follow. A parent has wasted their words if they teach their child to be kind, but the child observes their parents acting rudely toward each other.

According to Mark 14:38, the Bible instructs us to observe and pray. We should pray that we would live out the faith we so loudly profess and keep a closer eye on ourselves during our quiet times with God. It is a lovely approach to share our faith when we lead by example.

Prayer of the Day: Lord, please help me to live out my faith authentically. I want to be a good witness—a good example of Your love through my actions and not only my words, amen.
