Why You Must Teach Your Child The Way & Fear Of The Lord At A Young Age
It is scripturally established that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the holy One is understanding (Prov. 9:10).
With many things in life, this wisdom often sticks with the learner when impacted from childhood. It is scientifically established that children learn faster than adults, and are more teachable.
Many of the ways of life and morals of a person exhibited at old age, are cultivated and imbibed from childhood. Hence, neglecting the upbringing of your child, and expecting him/her to learn, master and live in and by morality at an old age is more than always a very big mistake.
Scripture admonishes all parents to teach a child the way they should go, and when they grow, they would not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6:
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
There is something special about training up a child in the way of the Lord – when he is old, he will not depart from it.
