Why A Christian Must Constantly Read & Meditate On God’s Word & Be A Natural Reader
Naturally Christians are readers. Christians who do not read and/or meditate on the word of God, may have difficulties walking in divine directions.
Why?
Because in reading and meditating upon the word of God we get divine directions for our lives. In it, we get the Rhema of God ministered into our spirits in the place of waiting.
The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple Ps 119:130
Check the scriptures and you will observe that the fathers of faith were readers.
As a Christian who does not have time for your Bible – you don’t have time to read the scriptures to study and meditate upon the word of God which is the manual for your life, you will have difficulty in obtaining divine directions because in His word is enshrined, the wisdom and understanding you need to navigate the spheres of life.
For this reason, you must of necessity, imbibe the habit and attitude of reading and meditating upon the word of God.
Now, hear this;
The Bible says, without faith, it is impossible to please God. (Heb. 11:6).
And further, it says:
Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Rm 10:17 (KJV).
If without faith, it is difficult to please God, and faith comes by hearing, which itself, is made possible by the word of God, it means that faith is strengthened by hearing the word, which sterns from the message of Christ. This, we get a deeper revelation of, ministered by the Holy Spirit to our spirit man, in the place of study, reading and meditating upon the word of God.
So we hear the word of God which is ministered into our spirits in the place of waiting. This is the Rhema.
If faith comes by hearing, it means hearing which is by the word of God, is able to give, nourish and grow one’s faith.
In the second letter of Paul to Timothy (2Tim 4:13), he told Timothy to bring along the scrolls which he left behind. This is an evidence that Paul was a reader.
If you read the Gospels, you will notice that Jesus was making so many references to scripture.
A Christian who does not have time for the word of God is making a serious error.
As Christians we must dedicate time to study and meditate upon the word of God.
If you are blessed by this post, don’t forget to share it with others.
The Lord give you grace to tarry, study and meditate upon His word today in Jesus name!
