SUCCESS: What Is Success In The Right Direction? | What Is The Right Kind Of Success?

 

 

Success means different things to different people. So when you say ‘I will succeed’ what do you really mean?

Unfortunately, what the world sees as success, is different from how God sees success. If you have a fleet of cars, mansions, so much money in the bank and live a luxurious life, the world sees it as success, but to God, that is foolishness when all that is at the detriment of your soul. The rich man said, I will pull down my barn and build a new one, then I will say to my soul, be gay for you have much stored up for you; but God said to him “you fool, tonight, your soul will be required of you”.

Success in the right direction is living and fulfilling your God-ordained purpose. How then can you be successful when you don’t have a purpose. Many people are just living and taking whatever is tossed at them but don’t really have a goal or purpose in life. If your goal, success or purpose is not adding anything to God’s kingdom, then that’s success in a wrong direction.

 

Adolph Hitler would have considered himself successful if he had actualized his mission, but would that really be success in the sight of God? Your success must be success in the sight of God. This is what defines real success.
