Safe Is Not Your Destiny – Joel Osteen Devotional, 18th November 2023

Joel Osteen

Topic: Safe is Not Your Destiny (Paraphrased)

Today’s Scripture

Esther 4:16, NIV

“I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”

Today’s Word

According to the Bible, God made Esther, a Jewish orphan, into the queen of Persia. She might have been content with her royal status, but a strong king official got a legislation enacted that ordered the execution of every Jew in the realm. “I can’t risk my life by trying to intervene,” Esther could have declared. I’ll simply be cautious. However, she made the decision to risk everything, and in doing so, she saved her people.

Being safe is not your fate. You are not called to be average. Accept a few challenges. Considered to progress the kingdom and establish novel benchmarks. God did not give you your courage, your personality, or your ability so that you might work, support your family, and earn a living. There’s a reason you were called. You have a purpose for your gift. There’s a reason you are healthy. There’s a reason you’re anointed. Construct God’s kingdom, not simply your own. Become actively involved in changing the world, and you will discover your purpose.

Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for all You have done in my life and for every opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others. Help me to be more aware of the people and needs around me and to be bold to use my gifts and talents to help others. I want to build Your kingdom. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
