God may be trying to make you come back to alignment, or tell you He knows what you are doing or what you have done against His will. 

A check or red alert kind of. 

When God asked Cain ‘Where is Abel your brother?’ do you think He didn’t know that Cain had killed Abel? 🤔 When He asked ‘Adam where are you? Do you think God didn’t know Adam’s whereabout? 

When Jesus said to Peter ‘Do you love me?’ Do you think Jesus didn’t know whether Peter loved Him or not?🤣😭 In fact Peter’s case was a special one. Jesus asked Him three consecutive times to emphasize the meaning and importance of the question. 

While Jesus was asking “Peter, do you have Agape love (the Godly kind of love for me)?”, Peter was responding “I have filial (the brotherly kind of love) for you. Now look at this analogy for a better understanding. 

Assuming you have a son called Andrew. In the cool of the evening one day, you saw Andrew tiptoe to the stew pot you just prepared to steal a meat. You already know Andrew is picking a meat from the stew pot, but to bring him back to his consciousness and alert him that you are aware he’s stealing a meat from the stew pot, you asked from the corridor ‘Andrew, what are you doing?’ ‘Nothing mum’ Andrew responds not knowing that you already saw him😂 🤣. 

Some people behave like this boy, Andrew. God is trying to tell you through question – ‘son, I see what you are doing’, ‘daughter, I see where you are going, turn back’. But you respond – ‘I am doing nothing’; ‘I’m going nowhere’. 

Beloved know it when God asks you a question, especially when He is asking you the same question repeatedly, it’s time to reconsider and be broken before Him.
