One Of These Four Things Happens When Anyone Hears The Word Of God

Whenever anyone hears the word of God, one of four things is bound to happen.

They either receive it and make use of it, thereby, becoming fruitful, or through hard-heartedness, they do not receive it.

These categories of people, the devil steals it from their hearts as soon as it drops so that they may not hear the word and be saved.

For the remaining two categories, one of them receives what is being preached as good and true; they really want to work with it, but due to the weakness of their faith, they let go when persecutions on account of the word of God they are living by sets in, or when temptations arise. As for the last category, they are not being fruitful with the word not because someone is persecuting them directly on account of the word, but the hunger and quest for riches have choked the word in them that they are no longer being fruitful.

In the early days of Christianity, satan used persecution against Christians to let them denounce their faith. Though there is still persecution against Christians today, satan uses more of temptations and the love of money, fame, hunger for riches and love of the world to choke the word and make Christians unproductive.
