BLESSEDNESS OF PATIENCE IN AFFLICTION
You may be facing difficulty while others prosper, because you chose to live right in the fear of God. It’s also possible that you were victimized by your boss, lecturer, superordinate or superior, because you refused to succumb to his/her inordinate desires. It may also be obvious that others are excelling, because they chose to be dubious, deceptive, liars, swindlers, rogues, thieves, prostitutes, etc, and you’ve chosen to walk in the fear of your God, no matter the odds. I bring a consolation from God’s word to you today, which says, the challenges you’re facing now, is only temporal, and cannot be compared with the glory which awaits us in Christ Jesus; but be firm and resolute, and do not succumb to the pressures and temptations to give up. For only they that fight to the end shall win the crown.
“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory”
(2Cor 4:16-17)
“Fear none of those things which thou shall suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life”
(Rev 2:10KJV)
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that over cometh shall not be hurt of the second death”(Rev 2:11)
“He that hath an ear, let him hear What the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that over cometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God” (Rev 2:7KJV).
“And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it;
If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them”(Jer 18:9-10).
